I can not enter special characters
Reviewer: Robert Nicolai Date: May 28, 2005 Rating:

I just received my copy of Final Draft 7. Everything seems to work as it should except for one important feature I need. I have to use special characters in my script. The integral sign is one of those characters. I also need superscripts and subscripts so I can put advanced mathematical formulas into the script. Since that did not work I wrote Tech Support. This is what they told me:

The Unicode support is something that will be implemented later on in the Final Draft program. This is something that will most likely be an option in version 8. Until then, the only character set available is Windows Western and only the characters available in that set will appear in the program.

The superscript and subscript font options is something we have been considering adding to Final Draft 7 and will try implementing it in version 7.

That does me no good right now. I need to buy a program that will allow me to enter these characters or my script is worthless. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone want a copy of Final Draft 7? I have it available.

Reviewer: Marc Cunningham Date: May 26, 2005 Rating:

If you are just interested in writing without a lot of clutter and bells and whistles, you have to get Final Draft. There is a reason why when you mention screenwriting programs it is the first name out of your mouth. Cop it, Sun. ONE!
